Kitchen!

Okay, so here we have no steps to the back room this time! The floor has been built up and they installed the bar today! I spent the weekend in between Birthday parties painting and texturing the parts that were previously not covered. It felt good to cross one more thing off as being complete. I said farewell to the orange paint...... Not sure quite what might replace it yet, but I know that it needed to go away.

Bryton turns "10"

Our little girl turned 10! With the chaos at home Bryton was kind enough to settle for a basic cake and parties with a little twist! On Friday the 24th she had a party with her friends. They all cam home with her and then she talked Grandma Pearson into letting her have a sleepover at her house. On Sunday we had cake and ice cream with family, Grandparents and friends were in attendance once again at Grandma Pearson's house. Thanks Grandma!

Bryton really smoked it up! Maybe she shouldn't get any older............
Girls being crazy! Notice Darci had to join in!

Strike that pose!

Happiness................

Okay, well there are different things in life that bring us happiness.......... Right now, I have to say that my kitchen is bringing me great happiness. Almost 13 years in the waiting I am finally getting a new kitchen! I never realized how badly I wanted it until the work began. I am so lucky to have an awesome contractor who is all over making sure this transition is easy on me! I can't complain so far, and we have only just finished day 2!

The kids got home before I did, and as per instruction Bryton called me as soon as she got home. It was very cute because she was excited about the kitchen. She just kept saying "mom you are gonna love this, our kitchen looks awesome!" I guess we have taught her a deeper appreciation for home improvement because I don't know very many almost 10 year olds that would be so excited about remodeling. It made me proud. I do have to admit it looks awesome! I am very excited about the progress and the finished product this far!!! Now I need to re-think my color scheme and start picking out paint!

Easter 2009

Well, the big "Moore" Easter egg hunt was yet a success with a little sunshine..............

Bryton will be 10 in a couple of weeks, so this was her last year of hunting! I think that she came out just fine even if she was on the "hard" side.

C.L. had to move over to the "hard" side this year. He enjoyed the challenge and still came out with a pretty good stash of eggs.

Darci of course hunted with all her zeal. She was like a wild bunny hunting the eggs! She came home with enough candy...................................... Then of course she came home and entertained herself with opening every egg and unwrapping all of her chocolates and organizing them neatly in a row. Mom didn't really argue with her too much because she was entertained for about 30 minutes. :-)

Spring in Idaho!

Okay, so on the 21st of March we had a beautiful day and everything was thawing and it was warm. (Probably like 38degrees, but warm to the kids) So Bryton and C.L. begged Grandpa Bogie to plow off their basketball court. They were itching to get outside and have somewhere to play. They got it plowed, and put the finishing touches on it with shovels. They were all excited that maybe they would be able to play on it in the days to come.

And then Spring struck again! At least the typical snowstorm type of spring that we always get in Idaho! I would guess we got about 6-8 inches the next morning....................Bryton was determined that the court would be cleaned, so back at it again!

Construction Continues..............or Begins

Well, I guess that life continues on..........and on.............and on.........

And the projects that go with it. Our Garage has become a lumber yard once again........ Carson has the windows cut out and now just has to dig out the basement and fill the holes back in with the dirt.

I feel bad for Carson he is feeling a little stressed. We have a few things to get done in preparation for the need of another bed in September.

I do have stairs to the basement! No more ladder, reallyhappy about that! I am excited to see progress, however not really ready for the rest of the job to come...........and I am not the one that has to work so hard. (poor Carson)
