Pinewood Derby 2011

Anxious for that first run!
Ready...... Set.......GO!

C.L. got first place in his first 2 runs, and then ended up with an overall 4th place!

Group effort by Dad, Mom and C.L.

I do believe we learned a few things to make note of for next year!

C.L. was pretty proud of his initials masked and painted on the back of his car!

Bryton 12th Birthday

What happens when Madyson eats too slow and the girls tease her????    There are tears..... Tears from laughter, but still tears.....

These 3 cute girls always have a good time.   Yes Bryton wanted a squirrels cake.

Painting t-shirts.

My 1st Solo wedding cake!

I did my 1st wedding cake by myself!!

It was not without lots of phone calls to mom for tips, and some

serious stress and reserve! I was pleased with the final product and

did enjoy making the cake and the feeling of completing the project was

amazing! I am not so sure that I want to go into making the wedding cakes quite

like my mom, but the occasional challenge might be fun!

Birthday cakes seem to be so much less stress!

Terrible TWO's Here we Come!

Ethan has been polishing his "naughty" skills. Here is one of his many acts!

"Did you see that mom???"
" I made sure to get them ALL!"

I guess when it was quiet I should have known he was up to something!

He made sure to empty every ziploc bag I had in the drawer.....

Gallon size, sandwich size, quart size, and snack size!

It is a darn good thing he's so cute!

Storage Room

Food Storage???? He'll empty the shelves!

Spirit Week - Duct Tape Day

I am always up for a creative challenge.
6th grade brought Bryton an opportunity to be a part of Spirit Week this week for the
1st time. She was having fun with it and wanted to really do it up for Duct tape day!

She is a girl all about accessories, so we put the imagination to work!
Duct tape flowers, Earrings with duct tape, bracelet and all.
Her flower turned out really giant and cute!
"At least people will notice it" LOL

I I hurried to snap a picture before the bus came at 7:25.....
She isn't exactly my morning kid!

All taped up and ready to go!!!
Oh how Great Grandpa Spencer would be proud! He used
duct tape for EVERYTHING! As I was helping Bryton with her ensemble
I just had to smile as I thought about his crochet slippers with the duct tape sole.
Of course who knew duct tape could patch a trike wheel, or fix a broken chair, and even
patch the occasional hole in your pants! Oh how I love the memories I have of that great man!
Now I create duct tape memories with my daughter!

Christmas at the Bogart House 2010

Christmas 2010
Ethan was a lot of fun for Christmas this year! He scored pretty good from Santa and the grandparents! He got lots of fun and noisy toys, along with diapers and PJ's.
Darci went through Christmas morning like the usual present tornado! She loves sporting her V-reader in jammies and all other ensembles. The white puppy came from her big sister and she was so excited! She set up all her presents by the tree for me to take a picture of it all.

C.L. hear "you'll shoot your eye out kid" many times this Christmas. He got a Red Ryder BB Gun! He also got a new MP3, the Diary of Wimpy Kid books and most of the items on his list!

Can you guess what Bryton got for Christmas??????
Yea, well she got a pink laptop! She got right on and chatted with her cousins in Utah and has enjoyed it. She also got lots of clothes, computer accessories, and of course the "velvet posters" which she has wanted for awhile!!!

Messes, and more garbage............... All said and done it was a great day!
Not as many pictures as usual, but I spent more time playing with the kids and just enjoying the day. Oh and then we had to warm up the Wii that the family got from Santa! Watch out! I am sure there will be sore muscles and some other minor injuries!

MCA Christmas Party

The 3rd Annual Moore Community Christmas Party

A great crowd of neighbors gathered for visiting, good food,
singing and a visit from Santa Clause!
A good time was had by all.

Pearson Family Christmas Party 2010

Marion Pearson Family Christmas party was held at the Arco Elementary on December 5, 2010.
Ethan and his second cousin Zoie were entertained by the mini M&M's for quite awhile!
We were grateful for the chocolate distraction however because he thought all the presents were for him..... Gotta love our little helper
The white elephant exchange brought out many laughs.
Uncle Vernon got the size 5x "I love NY" shirt, or should we say nightgown!
Most of the gifts didn't stay in the same hands..... I am a little scared to see
how they all come back next year????? From the redneck bubble bath (jar of beans) to
the autographed portrait! Travis has got a serious challenge to beat
that lovely photo next year!

Trolls, Bath accessories and then of course the case of Chili
with a can of air freshner!
Not quite sure how many times Aunt Bonnie lost her gift! It
was worth it to hear her laughter, so contagious and a joy!
Aunt Barbara's emergency panties in a bottle were priceless..........
(I do believe that she kept those!)

Bryton Drama Performance

Halloween 2010

Bryton is starting to get too old for trick-or-treating, but she was
game for dressing up and helping Ethan.
C.L. the skeleton.... I should have taken at least one
picture without his mask!

Darci Mae was our black kitty cat this year!
So was her little friend Brenna, twin black kitties.

My friendly little lion, Ethan.
He ran out of patience for the trick-or-treating really
early in the evening. Just wanted mom to hold him and snuggle.

Ethan's 1st Birthday

My blue eyed one year old................ Messy face and all! Love you!

He was a little slow at the start for digging in, but once he got the idea
he had a lot of fun!!! We all got a good laugh!
Opening presents proved to be a little difficult. He just wanted to play!

We had "round 2 Birthday" At Uncle Mitch's house with all the cousins.
Ethan didn't make as big of a mess, but he still had fun!
All toys with wheels! Definately a typical boy!
