Above is one of the many staircases that we went down
and then back up to come out of the cave.

At the heart of the cave, the wedding room, it stays

a constant 40 degrees year round.

Bear Lake/ Pearson Reunion 2010

The Bear Lake Pearson Family Reunion was held in August, and much overdue! Over the past couple of years life seemed to get in the way and we really didnt' hold a "reunion". This year was a GREAT time for all of us. It was so wonderful to visit with all those that travelled from South Dakota, California, and Utah!!!

Having a little one proved to be very entertaining! Loved watching Ethan discover water and sand...... He did get a little extra ruffage.
He absolutely LOVED the water. We couldn't keep him out of it. If fact
he liked it so much it scared me a little bit. Crawling in as far as his little body
could get without mom or dad stopping him. As the waves hit his face he just gasped,
smiled and kept on going!
We missed Kline and Kyles families this year. Jobs, economy and just
chaotic life kept them away.......
Aunt Bonnies family all showed up. It was so great to spend time with
Andrea and Angela........however we don't get to sit and visit like we used to do.
Kids seem to get 1st priority, but that friendship and bond will always be there!

Woofums, and much fun was had every night. It was so great to see all the
little cousins building new friendships and enjoying the extended family time!

Shevelle (Bryce's daughter) was meeting her extended cousins for the first time
and the girls all had a great time! Many hours giggling late into the night and walks.
We attached the jumper to a tree to keep Ethan contained..... He really liked
to eat the dirt and get really dirty!

Beach time.............. Always fun!

Kamikazee BUGS! Well, we don't know exactly what they were or what caused them

to swarm us, but the first night we couldn't even stand to stay outside because the bugs were

so thick!!! The next morning this is what we found all over the place.

The piles on the tablecloth are really bugs! YUCK

We did not camp alone of course! The bats would come out every night. We had a good time watching them as long as they kept their distance. Occasionally we got to see them tempt fate and swoop down by the owls. (Rachel and Paul took a few of our little rubbery friends back to Eagle Mountain with them in their camper...... Oh I would have loved to be taking a video of that adventure!) The owls were really beautiful. Bryton however didn't seem to think they were so great when she became the target for a pellet...... Of course Russ and Kayla's car and many other things were graced with its expression of "friendship"

Carson and I put the kids to bed and decided to go for a walk down to the beach while we waited for the baby to fall asleep. We were walking with a small flashlight and luckily we saw something fuzzy. I was grateful that I had my camera to document our little visitor. His location was only about 3 feet from our camper door. Needless to say we decided not to go to bed for awhile......

Family Reunions are the GREATEST! I have always loved spending time with my immediate family and all the extended family. I am so grateful for my grandparents, my parents and my aunts and uncles who cherished family time and taught me how to be a family.

The friendships that I have with my cousins and Aunts and Uncles are absolutely priceless!

Reynolds Reunion 2010

Larry and Barbara Reynolds hosted the Reynolds reunion on th river in Preston.

Carson, Bryton, C.L. and Darci floated the river. I stayed back at the house

and toured Barbara's quilting room and enjoyed visiting with all the

relatives. The kids seemed to enjoy their float time.

We always have a great time visiting and re-builing relationships from years
gone by. I love to sit back and listen to the stories and learn more about
the Reynolds family which I have been so blessed to be a part of.

Family Reunions seem to be the only vacation time that we take during the summer at this
point in our lives and I wouldn't want to miss them for anything!
The chaos, the camping, the friends............... Love it!!!

Spencer Reunion 2010

The Spencer Reunion was held at the Malad Summit Campground. As the planning for the reunion and the many that followed over the next couple weeks it was decided that the kids and I drive to the reunion on Wednesday and then Carson would come on Thursday after work. This conclusion meant that I would take our new camper on its' maiden voyage! I pulled the camper all the way to camp and even stopped in Pocatello for some groceries at Winco.

Driving with only kids in the truck I resorted to feeding Ethan gummy worms. He liked them a lot! This was the remains of one when we got to camp!

Darci decided that she needed two grandpa's for the weekend. Uncle Vernon was laying low not feeling so well, and Darci spent a lot of time snuggling with him and making sure he was being taken care of.

Atomic Days 2010

Atomic Days brings new celebrations each year. This year Mitch and Rachel both brought their families home. Mitch was celebrating his 20 year class reunion and of course the kids all had a great time together with the cousins.

At the Moore Community Association Car and Tractor show we had a very talented local artist carve a cowboy that he donated to the association for us to sell or raffle. The association decided to raffle "Cowboy Chris". The big drawing was to be held at the Saturday night Atomic Days Rodeo. We felt that Chris should be in the parade, and so we gathered our "Floozies" and displayed "Chris" with pride.

"Cowboy Chris" was on displayand completed at Mom and Dad's house for the month prior to Atomic Days. He became a part of the family quickly! The kids were all sad to see him go. Many of the kids (along with all of us adults) tried for their chance to win this great piece of art and give him a home in Moore. He was however happily greeted by his new family in Pocatello.

Bryton, Haylee, Ciera, Addie and Madyson had so much fun dressing up

and flirting with the big sexy cowboy.
C.L. helped Spencer promote the Number Hill Grill float!

Darci, Lilly, and Makenna sported the clowning around and rode in the

Moore Community Association train.
