4th of July 2010

KA-BOOM!

What would the 4th of July be without the pyrotechnics of Uncle Mike!
Kyle reverted back to childhood as he watched things launch into the sky or
just plain Explode!

We definately kept things a little noisy on County Road!

Jamie and Travis have the perfect location for a 4th of July party!
A beautiful yard with room for the kids to have a great time, a nice deck for us to
sit and visit. When it came time for the City of Arco to do thier firework show
we all moved to the road and watched. The kids decided to climb on the shed and thought
they were pretty cool! The show was good, but our private little celebration was AWESOME!

It all started with just some messing around!

I think we had enough to watch without the firetruck!

Of course the neighbors had to come "help".

Really they all felt lucky that it was Travis who started this one!

Travis is a "little brother" around the Pearsons.

He found his soulmate and asked mom and I to make their wedding cake.
Mom did most of the work on the main cake.

Crystina requested a grooms cake, and that is where I

jumped in! I had so much fun making this cake! They have an

ongoing battle between Toyota and Volkswagen and

this cake made Trav feel like he won the battle!

We had to travel to Ririe with the cake and............. the road

was not nice to the cake! We were able to fix it up pretty good considering

the bumpy road construction and the summer heat!

Oh the days of summer!

I look at these pictures and am so glad that my kids have

developed friendships with kids that are connected to my childhood!

I remember all the days playing in the sprinklers, sleepovers on trampolines

bike rides to the mountain ansd all the things that we enjoyed in my little neighborhood

as a kid. The Flory's, the Beverly's and our family had such a great time together!

My Darci seems to do things in a big way!

The day started off early in the morning with a full allergy test.

She waited so patiently for the time to pass!

Then when we got home she insisted that we get her ears pierced!

We had discussed getting her ears pierced for weeks leading

up to this and I didn't really feel like ears pierced was a

reward after being poked 56 times already that morning!

She was all for it!

As if the day wasn't already eventful enough............

We got home and she insisted that I remove her training wheels

because she was ready to ride her bike!

It only took her about 10 minutes to take off by herself!

By the end of the afternoon she had figured out how to ride and also how

to start out without being helped!

Oh my girl! I do love how she keeps me on my toes!

I only wish I could keep up with her!

King Mountain Car & Tractor Show 2010

"WHEW" I just want to sigh and celebrate at the same time!!!! The MCA (Moore Community Association) sponsored our first annual car show and it turned out to be a great success! I could post hundreds of pictures literally, but my overall feeling was just AMAZED when I saw the cars actually register and then the people come rolling in I was so overwhelmed with relief and joy! We spent months planning this event! We had over 75 registered entries and a great event!!!!
